Meet Owners and Estate Sale Planners Scott and Mary Verbarg

Scott and Mary Verbarg established Blue Moon Estate Sales of Indianapolis South in 2021 with a focus on providing professional estate sale services to Southern Indianapolis, Greenwood, Franklin, and Bargersville communities. Both Scott and Mary have considerable experience working in professional and client-facing roles.  

Scott holds an MBA from the University of Indianapolis and, prior to his estate sales career, gained 29 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. Over the last decade, he has owned and managed two successful insurance agencies on the Southside of Indianapolis. With that experience, he found his passion in serving the local community, creating jobs, and growing a small business. 

Mary has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Louisville and 25 years of experience as a clinical social worker. Her background is highly beneficial to client and customer relationships alike. When working with clients facing challenging transitions, both Mary and Scott value empathy, patience, and, most importantly, the highest degrees of integrity and ethical consideration. 

Scott is a member of several community organizations including two chambers of commerce, two networking groups, and F&AM Pleasant Lodge 134. He is also a board member of his neighborhood association. In their spare time, the Verbargs enjoy international travel and spending time with their four children and one grandchild.
